We can fill a bucket from downstairs tap quicker than from an upstairs tap because due to gravitational Force the water exerts more pressure in downstairs tap as compared to upstairs tap. The water will come out of tap with a great force of pressure.

Answer:

Gravitational force acts on all the objects. The amount of force exerted depends on distance of the object from earth.

In our case, tap on higher floor is far from earth and has less gravitational pull. The tap on the lower floor, is closer to the earth and hence has higher gravitational force.

Hence bucket from downstairs tap is filled faster compared upstairs tap. Moreover the downstairs tap has more kinetic energy than the upstairs tap.
