you can read a book which is possible due to reflection of light.why don't you see your face on book?

Because we know if we want to see our face there should happen specular reflection. But though the page of book is not plain their happens diffuse reflection So we could not see our face.

Because the book is an opaque object or because it does not have a polished surface
long answer with explanation please.
We can read a book because of the reflection of light but it is not possible to see your reflection in it as it is not a polished surface . The book,being an opaque body does not hold the properties of a polished object .thus we cannot see our reflection in a book .
