Given:-

  • Initial velocity ,u = 27.78m/s

  • Final velocity ,v = 0m/s

  • Acceleration due to gravity , g = 9.8m/s²

To Find:-

  • Distance must the car collapse ,s

Solution:-

By using 3rd equation of motion

v² = u² +2as

Substitute the value we get

→ 0² = 27.77² + 2×9.8×s

→ 0 = 771.1729 + 19.2 ×s

→ -771.1729 = 19.2×s

→ s = -771.1729/19.2

→ s = -40.165 m

distance can't be negative

So , The must the car collapse is 40.165 m.
