Answer:

(B) -1,1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given , the equation :

x² + px + (1- p) = 0

Here ,

a = 1

b= p

c = (1 - p )

And one root of the equation is

(1- p).

Let the other root be ß

Now ,

sum \: of \: the \: roots \:  =  \frac{ - b}{a}  \\  \\  \implies(1 - p) +  \beta  =  \frac{ - p}{1}  \\  \\  \implies1  - p +  \beta  =  - p \\  \\  \implies \beta  =  - p + p - 1 \\  \\  \implies \beta  =   - 1

Again ,

product \: of \: the \: roots \:  =  \frac{c}{a}  \\  \\  \implies(1 - p)\beta  = (1 - p) \\  \\  \implies \beta  =  \frac{1 - p}{1 - p }  \\  \\  \implies \beta  = 1

Therefore , the other root is -1 or 1
