This is an ASL prompt
for speaking task 3. You can say the following lines or something similar
in your discussion for the prompt:
Student A: I am really fed up with this noise in the class when the teaching is going on.
Student B: Me too! This low murmur of useless, irrelevant talking from the desks at the back does not let us hear our teacher's lectures most of the time!
Student: Why does the teacher not point it out to the distracting students. She can order them to be quiet; or go out of the class?
Student A: I think she does not know about this. May be the mumbling does not reach her ears; she stands at the front of the class. May be the murmuring gets subdued in her own voice.
Student B: I also feel the same. Those talkers are very clever. The moment any teacher stops suspecting the murmur, they also become quiet.
Student A: We will have to do something. The other day I complained to one of the talkers, he just jibed at me calling me 'bookworm'!
Student A: I think we need to talk to our class teacher. Since we are considered to be among the sincerest students in our class, she will listen to us.
Student B: Should we take some other students for better impact?
Student A: No, anyone out of them might sneak on us to the troublemakers. We had better go to the class teacher alone!
Students B: The other students are scared of their bullying nature. That's why they keep mum.
Student A: We can request our class teacher to have their talking recorded as a proof. She can show it to them as a proof.
Student B: Brilliant idea. Let's go to our class teacher!
