You come across cases of theft of money in your class and find that some students steal money from their classmates bags and boxes what would you do to solve your problem?

If I am the representative for my class and I'm hearing about these problems, I would :
1- complain to my class teacher in the first place after being absolutely sure
2- after lunch time or before school gets over I would get everybody's bags checked
Through these methods I would catch the theifs and reccomend severe punishment
