You decide to throw a 426 gram basketball upwards with an average force of 200 N. You throw the ball upwards for 60 cm. If the drag force average 10 N during the throw then what is the acceleration of the ball and how fast does it leave your hands on its way upwards?

Answer:

Secondly, for the part about acceleration, my answer was 446m/s/s. Here is my calculations:

F=ma --> a=F/m

(200N-10N)/0.426kg = 446m/s/s

I feel like that acceleration is unrealistic, but I'm not sure where I went wrong.
