At the height of 2 m, K.E is 0 J and potential as mgh=5*2*10=100 J.

Hence at lowest height, the Potential energy should be converted into the kinetic. Hence, the KE of the ball should be 100 J just before touching the ground.

ANSWER=>100J

Answer:

The given ball possess a Kinetic Energy of 100J just before reaching the ground.

Explanation:

Given is a ball of mass 5kg which is released from a height of 2m.

Potential Energy of the ball just before reaching ground=0

Potential Energy of the ball at a height of 2m =mgh =5×10×2=100J

After the ball reaches ground its complete potential energy changes to kinetic energy,

So, kinetic energy of the ball just before reaching ground=100J.
