Have you read/watched Harry Potter? It has creatures called "Centaurs". If you haven't read HP, don't worry, centaurs are basically creatures with upper body of a human and lower torso of a horse.
You can write about meeting two centaurs!
About their interesting and exciting aspect- They are really strong, intelligent and are great fighters. They are also very prideful; be careful not to offend them. You can also ride a centaur (because it's body is like a horse's). You can even write about how you played football(or any other game) with your centaur friends!
