Due to this large scale deforestation has taken place and left the city like a barren desert.

Deforestation has several short as well as long term effects.
• It will reduce soil fertility and hurt the agricultural farmers on the outskirts of our city.

• Trees have a strong impact on the quality of air. Lack of trees will reduce the oxygen levels in these areas.

• Residential buildings are using deep drilling techniques to take out water. This will reduce the groundwater levels in our city.

• These housing projects are located close to several factories. Lack of trees will present danger of environmental pollution.
