We find climbers in thick forests because the no. of tress and other plants variety also increases in thick forest, so the essential nutrients to survive are easily available. Usually the climate condition of the thick forest supports many species of climbers. Due to all these reasons we find more no. climbers in thick and dense forest.

Climbing plants require an external support, unlike prostrate plants. In thick forests there is plenty of support in the form of tall, sturdy trees. Besides, these climbers get sunlight by climbing upwards, as sunlight is not able to permeate successfully into thick forests; for carrying out their photosynthesis the climbers move upwards rather than lie on the ground.
