Dear Diary
I was thinking about my Gangotri trek and how wonderful it was. The weather was undoubtedly cold, the terrain difficult, yet all I recollect is the beauty of the landscape. The mountains were untouched by man, unpolluted and pure, and the stream that flowed by, had icy cold water, coming straight from the glacier itself. It was like being in the purest place on earth, and almost felt like heaven. Our trek was five days long, starting at Gangotri and ending at the Gangotri basecamp as well. I came back with tired feet, but my heart ached for more. There is nothing like sufficient interaction with nature. Time, health and resources permitting, I would love to go back to the mountains again. Until then, I will look through the photographs and enjoy the memories of that uniquely amazing trip.
