First let's have a brief introduction about the forest in Amazon.

The Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon rainforest which is located in the Amazon basin of South America is the largest rainforest in the world. It covers about 40% of Brazil - extending over other nations such as Bolivia, Peru, Colombia etc. As the name suggests, this rainforest is located at the drainage basin of the largest river in the world - The Amazon river.

This rainforest is a house to about more than million species of flora and fauna and there are still millions of species undiscovered. It covers a majestic area of about 60,00,000 sq. km. Even though major portions have been cut down for deforestation and major forest fires occur, they still continue to be a major contributor for the oxygen in the earth's atmosphere.

Now, the answers:

1) Tropical rainforest

Located close to the equatorial regions of the Earth, the Amazon rainforest experiences hot and humid climate. Hence, it is tropical rainforest.

2) Giant water lilies, Cocoa, Lipstick trees, mahogany etc.

Various exotic kind of flora can be found in the Amazon rainforests, ranging from normal rosewood trees to exotic orchids, the basin is home to millions of plant species. Some species are only found in this rainforest.

3) Capybaras, Tapirs, Anacondas, sloth bears etc.

The Amazon rainforest is also home to exotic animal life. From normal animals like the macaws and sloths, it is also home to some extremely giant reptiles and animals such as the jaguars and anacondas.

4) Adaptability to extreme sorts of climate present there

The various natives of the Amazon forest, the various tribes are extremely adapted to the various hot and and humid climate experienced here. They are completely compatible with the flora and fauna present there.

5) Both adverse and good effects

Industrialization has an extremely adverse effect on the Amazon rainforest. Deforestation, slash and burn agriculture, forest fires and the construction of the Trans-Amazon highway have reduced the forest size.

Yet, they are still re-growing and the discovery of certain plant and animal species have made the world of science broader.
