Dear Diary:

Today I met Samir, a friend of my friend, Umesh at an inter-school debate competition. He is a bundle of admirable qualities. Both of us were surprised at the fact that Umesh is our best friend. I interacted with him in the auditorium waiting for our respective turns on the stage. Quite surprisingly, both of us won second and third prize respectively. He won the second position and I won the third position. I was amazed to know from him that he is the captain of his school’s cricket team as well. He is also a brilliant student. Talented boys like him are rare to find. I will stay in touch with him.

Bye diary. I have to go to bed now. Good night!

The day when I met my friend’s friend in the city, it was a bit enjoyable experience.

We both talked for hour or so about our studies, hobbies, like and dislikes. Even our closeness to our common friend was also revealed.

Meeting a friend outside the educational boundaries is really fantastic.
