Subject : Wearing of Safety Belts by backseat passengers
I was a witness to a fatal road accident yesterday. Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to stress the importance of wearing safety belts by backseat passengers in vehicles. The above mentioned accident, was the one gathered was due to the non wearing of seat Belts by the passengers.
A recent survey showed that most Indian travellers considered the safety belts as ornamental extras given by manufacturers to boost sales. The matter needs to be given nationwide publicity through a massive campaign to educate the public on significance of wearing seat belts.
The Indian record for road safety is one of the poorest in the world according to WHO. A UK study has also confirmed that really of seat belt can prevent 92% of road accidents the passenger put their lives at a risk by not wearing safety belts.

Through your esteemed daily , I want to draw my views over the importance of using seat belts while travelling.
Seat belts are a way through that acts like a gaurd & protects us from fatal accidents. While travelling , one must wear seat belts for his/her protection. Although accidents are rear things but even if they take place , one could be already prepared to protect himself from it by wearing a seat belt. As discussed above that seat belts play their roles as a gaurd , one must wear it being such a significant way through. Everyone should care about those lives which are dependent on him/her for their livelihood & remembering them they should wear a helmet before driving.
Not all the people are aware of the importance of using seat belts. Therefore , I request you to mention this serious issue in your daily to let people know about its importance.
