Answer:
Every single bone in my face feels aflame, the searing pain unbearable. I can feel the anguished expression on my face - a mirror to confirm this would be unnecessary. My features are pulled taught by a scowl, most likely just worsening the pain, but there isn't much I can do to stop it. It comes instinctively.
And then the pain becomes somehow worse. First it shrieks in my head, then flooding down into my body, something I haven't yet experienced - I never thought it could get this bad. I feel the tears pricking my eyes. My fingers quiver as I reach for the telephone, appearing reluctant despite the intention behind it being anything but. It seems to take a lifetime, typing in the emergency number.
"Hello, what problem are you having?" a slightly broken-up voice inquires.
"Tooth pain," I respond, or at least I try to. My words come out harsh, and extremely forced.
"Okay, Ma'am," she responds, "can I get your full name?"
"Caroline Fletcher."
"Wonderful. We'll get you an appointment as soon as possible - does 3:30pm sound okay?"
"Yes, thank you," is my response, and I sure as hell can't wait for 3:30 to come around.
Explanation:
I have no idea how an emergency call goes, nor if this is what you asked for, but I had a go anyway. :)
