Given :- You have a trapezium shaped plot.Divide it into 3 parts as shown in the given figure to find the area of the trapezium shaped plot. Also find the area of the plot which is nearby you.

Solution :-

from image we can see that,

  • Length of both parallel sides is b1 and b2 unit
  • Height of trapezium = perpendicular distance between parallel sides = h unit

so,

→ Area of trapezium = (1/2) * sum of parallel sides * height

→ Area of trapezium = (1/2) * (b1 + b2) * h

Hence, Area of trapezium will be (b1 + b2)(h/2) .
