Dear Grandpa

I hope that you are in the pink of your health. It's been ages since I have last written to you. But, to be honest, I am at seventh heaven right now and I am writing this letter to tell you about this. So, take a chair and sit back as I am in a mood of ranting now.

A few days ago, I was transported to cloud nine when I heard the news that I got nominated along with five others to be the house captain. Well, the five other students were brilliant in both academics and duties. I felt them to be greater than me and I also felt that I did not deserve the position of being the house captain in the first place. But, today, at school, I got a letter from the principal. I was nervous. With shaky hand I opened it. At that time, I didn't knew that I was going to get a big shock. As I read the letter, joy with a feeling of pride engulfed me. The letter said that I was elected as the house captain of my house. Well, mom and dad were really happy too. Dad treated me to a huge chocolate brownie sundae. Well, now the future of my house is upon me. And, to achieve the top position, I am going to work really hard. When I think about ways that would help my house to win the house cup, only one word comes to my mind– bullies. Well, I am going to start a campaign against bullies as I absolutely detest them. I hope that I will succeed.

Well, I end my letter here today. Right now, I have many things on my plate. I hope I will get to meet you at the autumn break. Meanwhile, keep me informed on everything.
