You have been fined Rupees 1000/ for damaging the school property but you feel that you have been fined wrongly. Write an application to the principal of your school explaining the situation.
In your application you should
1. introduce yourself and state your purpose of your writing
2. explain how you have been fined wrongly
3. request him/her to remit your fine

Sir,

Most respectfully I am to say that my English teacher has fined me for not taking the special test. He thinks that I did not take the test intentionally. The fact is that I was suddenly taken ill just a day before.

As my parents were away to a marriage and there was no one in the house to deliver my application, I could not even apply for leave.

I shall feel obliged if you kindly remit the fine of Rs. 50/- imposed on me by the English teacher.

Thanking you.

Your faithfully,

Answer:

The 26th March is a red letter day in our history because on this day we declared independence. Every year we observe this Independence Day with great solemnity. To celebrate this day in a befitting manner, we decorated the college premise tastefully. So the college wore a festive look.
