Answer:

I have not read his biography but heard so many stories of him. I have one memory of him:

It was 2012 when I was in 12th standard and my team was selected for NCSC(national children science congress) for state level. The event was in Barabanki near Lucknow. There he came as the chief guest in the inauguration.

This is the first time we interacted with him. In the beginning, He quoted

“To achieve target one need excellence in his thinking and actions.”

Then he told us a story. A story about his failure. He said :

He got 2 chances to join Indian Air Force, one at AFSB Dehradun and one at Directorate of Technical Development and Production (DTDP), Delhi.

After attending the interview, he realized that AFSB seek a certain kind of smartness along with your knowledge and educational qualification.

he got 9th position out of 25 candidates and failed. There was only 8 vacancies.

He told us how he got broke up for a while but he didn’t stop himself. He kept on going and push himself more and more.

He told us to never give up and never compromise with our aim, even after facing failures. He said you people are just in 12th standard and gonna face such results in future. He quoted

“If you like to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun.”

It was a great experience and affected all of us in a positive way.

Thank you sir :)
