You have been provided with three test-tubes. One of these test-tubes contains distilled water and the other two contain an acidic and a basic solution respectively. If you are given only blue litmus paper, how will you identify the contents of each test-tube ?

here is ur answer

==============================
✒to check the nature of solution ,put the litmus paper in the solutions and observe the change of colours of litmus paper.

✴ if the blue litmus. paper turn into red ,then it shows that the solution is acidic.

✴ if red litmus paper turns into blue then it shows that the solution is basic.

✴if there is no change in the colour of litmus paper, then the solution is neutral.

If the blue litmus changes to red, then it is an Acid. If there is no change, then it is a Base. If there is a slight change, then it is Distilled Water.
