Dear Diary,

       I am happy about my selection for the dance competition at the state level. I am fortunate to have a dance teacher who is extremely supportive of my endeavours. She made me practise for two hours every day. She explained each of the steps well and made me focus on those which would fetch more marks. I had also been practising hard for the competition at home. That really perfected my skills.  

On the day of my performance, I was really nervous. But I didn’t let it hamper my performance in any way. At the end, my performance was well-received by the judges and the audience. The big moment came when the judges had announced my name for the next level.  

I hope I perform well at the state level. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to establish myself as a fine dancer.
