Dear Diary,
I am the happiest person on earth. Guess what has happened, I have been selected to play for our national football team. Do you know what that means? I am going to play for my country! I will be visiting all those places I have longed to see and I will meet all those men with the ‘Golden Boot’. My name will be written in the history of Indian Football. I wish you could give me a pinch to make me realise that I am not dreaming. I am so excited.
When I called home Father wouldn’t believe me and I could hear Mother crying with joy. I feel as if I am at the top of the world. There will be so much to write to you about. I better catch some sleep.
