you have been supplied with a sample of food.how will you perform tests for the presence of starch and proteins in it

take the food sample , if it is a solid crush it , add water and mix it . after making the solid a liquid add brown iodine soln. if the liquid on addition turns blue-black there in presence of starch
for test of protein do the same steps but instead of iodine add dil Na(OH) and CuSO₄
