Given : You have boarded an airplane.

The rows are numbered from 1 to 30, and there are six seats per row,

three on each side of the isle.

Seats in each row are labeled A through F.

To Find : What are your chances of sitting on a window seat?

Solution:

The rows are numbered from 1 to 30,

there are six seats per row,

Hence total Seats = 30  x 6  = 180

Seats A &  F are Window seats

Seat B & E are middle Seats

Seat C &  D are Aisle seat

Total Windows seats  = 30 * 2 = 60

chances of sitting on a window seat  =  60/180

= 1/3
