Sir,


I wish to bring to your kind notice the police brutality innocent people. Recently, some slum dwellers were taken into custody by the police on the charge of theft. They were beaten up mercilessly in order to make them confess the crime. They were innocent and gave proof of their absence from the colony on the day when the crime was committed.
They cried but their innocent cries had no effect on the police personnel. In this case the police clearly violated the human rights. Such incidents bring a bad name to the police and if this trend is not checked, people will lose faith in the police. I am pained to say that the uniform is given to the people to protect the innocent and not to beat the innocent for the crime they have not committed.

The police should use non brutal ways to find the truth about the crime. There are no two opinions that the criminals should be brought to book but the police atrocities on the innocent should be stopped.
The need of the hour is to crab such authorities against the innocent people.

I hope that you will take effective steps to curb this trend of committing atrocities on the poor and innocent people.
