You have given two solutions. How would you determine which one of these two is hypotonic and which is hypertonic? Discuss the importance of hypertonic medium in our house-hold

We would first take a cell , for example an egg then place it in any solution. If the egg swells up then the solution is hypotonic(amount of water is more than the concentration of solute) and if the egg shrinks then the solution is hypertonic(solution having less amount of water than the solute).
