You have had a rough day. There was simply too much work that was pending. You had to catch up with that and do more. In such a situation you were left with no choice but to do it all diligently and with utmost patience. You heart-strings tugged every now and then, but you simply went ahead, at times plodding along and at other times, sauntering gingerly toward the end-of-the-day goal to get work done. Make a diary entry at the end of such a day when you are left feeling drained out, almost wilting and about to wither. Yet, a deep sense of satisfaction fills your heart. pour it all out in your entry.

Dear Diary,

Today was a rather long day.  I woke up with a headache that kept bothering me all day.  I had planned to finish my pending assignments and complete the short story that I had been struggling with, over the last two weeks. The headache drained me quite a bit and my energy levels were quite low. I was tempted to get back into bed for a few hours, but I fought the urge and instead sat at my desk. Little by little, I finished drawing the diagrams and labelling them. Surprisingly,  I even had some time left to work on my short story, but no ideas popped into my head. I soon found myself doodling aimlessly. And then suddenly, as if inspiration found me, the ideas flowed through and the story was complete in no time. It is indeed strange how despite being exhausted, I managed to finish my tasks for the day rather well. I didn’t postpone any work to tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a fresh day!
