Dear Uncle,
Thanks a lot for the wonderful gift. I received it just in the nick of time on my birthday. It was indeed very thoughtful of you to have remembered my birthday. We all missed you, Aunty and Tanya that day.
In the evening I had a small party at home, where some of my school friends had come over. decides the usual cake cutting, we enjoyed ourselves various games. Papa presented me a new sports bicycle, which I had set my heart on for quite some time. However, the beautiful watch you sent me was really marvellous. I had long wished to change my watch which has become old. Your present was in answer to my prayer. Its stop watch feature shall help me prepare for the cycling competition at school. I had not been able to time my speed properly, in the absence of an accurate timing device. However, with this watch, I shall be able to precisely gauze my performance and win the 500 cycle race to be held in school.
