Dear James

I must tell you about my adventure last week. I was walking towards my bus stop after school when there was a heavy downpour. There was thunder and lightening as well. It became dark all of a sudden. There was no sign of the bus and I had neither an umbrella nor a raincoat.

I decided to walk home instead of waiting for the bus. The road was full of potholes and covered with water. So, it was really difficult to walk safely without falling into a pothole. I saw a girl come in the opposite direction. Like me, she had no means to protect herself. Soon after we crossed each other, I heard someone shout for help. I turned back to find that the girl had fallen into a pothole. I rushed back to help her and started screaming for help. Luckily, an auto driver heard me and stopped to help. The good soul then offered to drop us home free of charge. We soon got into the auto and reached our homes. I heaved a sigh of relief.

Write to me about your news.

Love

Rahul

Dear Diary:

I had a wonderful experience last week. The summer heat had become quite oppressive. The mercury had soared to 46° C high. I coming home from school when the miracle happened! The sky was overcast within a few minutes. A cool breeze began to blow. Within a few minutes, a cool drizzle began to fall from the heavens. Everyone began rejoicing in it. Nobody rushed for the cover! Even I slowed down my bicycle. In stead of paddling towards home, I directed my bicycle towards a park. As I reached there, the drizzle changed into rain. I enjoyed getting wet in the cool drops. It rained for one hour regularly. The heatwave was gone. By the time I reached home, my mother was waiting for me at the gate. She was quite happy at the newly fallen shower. She asked me to change my wet clothes and dry up my school bag.
