Dear Diary,

Yesterday I had gone to my friends house and taken my favourite book with me. I kept it on a table. After leaving, I recalled that I had not taken the book. I immediately went back and checked the whole house for my book because it was very important for me as it was my father's gift. But I could not find it.

 It was very beautiful. I feel very guilty on losing the book and I don't know how to break it to my dad.

My father appreciates straightforwardness. So I plan on telling him directly. I will go up to him and tell him the truth. I hope my plan does not backfire.
