Reading is important as it develops our mind. When we understand the written words by reading, the mind grows in its ability. One other way it is advantageous to us as it increases the language skills too. According to me the assumation of the word exactly before reading it is also important as it helps you to read fluently. But coming back to the topic, today's generation is not much interested in reading books, but still these reading skills are necessary for their development.
