You have often read in the newspapers that more and more youngsters , specially
teenagers seem to be getting attracted towards the world of crime . This fact is disturbing as
much as it is an eye-opener because most of these criminal activities take root due to poverty
.And, law doesn’t permit harsh punishment for children below the age of 18. Write a letter to
the editor of The Hindu conveying your strong opinion on this serious issue and give
suggestions as to how youngsters can be deterred from falling into this trap.

Sir,

I am 22 years old college student living in Chennai since I was born. I am writing this letter to express my strong opinion about the proliferating crime that are done my teenagers. I have read and seen many incidents about teenagers who are doing criminal activities. As per my understanding, most of them are from below poverty line and they are trapped to do criminal activities for money.

Why don' t this government take necessary action against this kind of crimes. Can't they see that adult criminals are using the teenagers to do crime as teenagers won't get punishments for their doings?

I request you to publish a nice article about this type of crime in the way of creating awareness among the people and the teenagers.

Thank You.
