Dear Mary,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I got the first prize at the recently held photography organization. i am very happy and wanted to first share the news with you.
Let me explain the event in details. It was an online competition and all the participants had to send their best photograph to the organizers. They in turn made the pictures available to the audience through an exhibition. We were all invited for the event and had to describe our photo to the people. Lastly, the audience had to cast their vote to the photograph they liked the most. The winner was decided based on the votes and judgement of the organizers. It was a week long process and by the end of the week I emerged victorious.
I sent a picture of a beautiful sunset which I had captured during my stay in Singapore. It was a beautiful sight and the colors of the sun popped against the blue background of the sea and sky.
Next week I will be coming to your city to show case my picture at the Christmas exhibition. Therefore, I would like to invite you to the event. It has been a long time since we have met and I'm very excited to show you my prize.
