Respected Sir,
Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I wanted to highlight the issue of increasing pollution in our cities. Sir, recently I came across a report showing the pollution levels of different cities. According to it, New Delhi is one of the most polluted cities among the world. Most people think that from where this pollution comes from. And they make excuse that they don't pollute environment in any case. But they forget that daily, they are polluting environment in many ways. They litter the waste on public places instead of garbage bins. Due to this the atmosphere becomes foul in smell. Small children cannot play well there.
Even many industries dump waste and pass industrial sewage in water bodies. Rural people wash their cattles in the rivers. Due to this the water gets polluted, and poor people consume that water without its purification. This leads to many diseases for them. The industrial areas are risked with many land pollution. The constant drilling and atmospheric pollution by vehicles also contribute a lot in increasing Global Warming.
People just try to blame others. When someone asks them to stop doing pollution they make excuses or just get angry on who asked it. It's been already declared that pollution has increased on earth so much that it's hardly possible for earth to recover its condition as it was 50 years ago.
Sir the odd even scheme that was promoted shall be followed strictly by people. It helps to reduce the air pollution which happens by smoke and gases that come out from vehicles. Even it helps to reduce noise pollution.
Sir I request you to publish this in your newspaper so that eyes of concerned authorities and people can open and they try their best to make this place better.

Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Meowsy

Subject: City under the attack of noise pollution
Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the problem of rising noise levels and its subsequent harmful effects in the city.
Our ever-expanding city was already bearing the effects of air and water pollution, but recently, the people have also started to adopt the trend of enjoying their extravaganza with the loudest noise possible. Gone are the days when tourists used to enjoy the serenity of the city and calm themselves in the embrace of our quiet temples and mosques. Rather today, every block has some or other loudspeaker pumping their message in the atmosphere. Marriage processions and DJs during wedding spread the inharmonious music to everyone around, concerned or stranger, and disrupt the sleep and study periods of the elderly and students likewise.
If this menace is not put to control soon, our city shall perish in tourism and public health sector. An arrangement should be made to ensure marriages take place on the outskirts of the city. The police should act more responsibly and look into any complaint about noisy neighbours whenever they get a phone. I hope that after reading an article about the noise pollution of the city in your newspaper, the concerned authorities wake up from their slumber and take action accordingly.
Thank You
Yours sincerely
