Dear Diary,
I had never thought I would see this day in my whole life! My own daughters, my own very blood and physicality, whom I look after and brought up with so much love and care would be so meaningly selfish. Oh, that pain in my heart! I can't even express properly how I feel now but I will do. They assumed me dead, and not even sent for a doctor. Rather began planning the settlement of my property and my insurance. Amelia could be so selfish. I had not the slightest idea. She sneak my bureau, slippers and clock away downstairs. It's enough now! I will teach them a lesson. I will go ahead with my marriage with Mrs. John shorrocks, which I had been postponing for their sake. I will have my "Choice" newly made. I won't leave a single scent from my hard earned wealth for them. They neither deserve me nor my Property!
Hope this changes my Life happier.

Dear diary,
Elizabeth departed that day and has never come back, so I was unable to fulfil a lifelong desire of mine to see my daughters together. I was confused when I saw them together at home today. Later, it hurt my heart to learn that they had come to steal my stuff under the mistaken impression that I had passed away. I've made the decision to go to the one who will love me for who I am and not for what I have since I can no longer put up with all of them.

- The play "The dear departed" focuses on the rapidly fading family values in society. Even the respectful relationship between father and daughter has become contaminated by materialism due to how much it has impacted the life of the modern man.
