Mountain: You think you are always right, don't you?
Squirrel: I never said so. You are assuming that.
Mountain: You are nothing but a conceited, proud fellow. In fact you are a little prig!
Squirrel: Well, I am much smaller than
you are, but being big is not everything! There are lots of other things that matter.
Mountain: You are only trying to defend yourself!
Squirrel: No, I don't need to. I am not
ashamed of being small. That is how I am
meant to be.
Mountain: Are you sure about it?
Squirrel: Absolutely. You may be huge,
but you aren't half as lively as I am. You
cannot move around like I can. Mountain: That is sadly true. I never
thought about it!
Squirrel: Don't be sad. I think God made
us each this way. I cannot have trees
grow on my back and you cannot crack
open a nut, but each one of us is special
in our own way. You give me so much
space to play around.
Mountain: What you say makes sense. Squirrel: That's probably because I am a
prig! Ha ha!
Mountain: I am sorry for being mean
to you. I promise I will never say hurtful
things to you.
Squirrel: And I promise to always give
you company!
