Recently i read an article in the newspaper which said that The Eastern South Pacific has been found to have the highest density of anthropogenic debris recorded anywhere in the world with 99.8% pollution of plastic . It is really shocking to know about it . What drastic effects would it be having on the marine life . It is indeed a big threat to already endangered species of Plants and animal .


There needs to be a Quick action taken to stop this nuisance . People need to be strictly warned so as to not throw any waste near the beaches . Also their can be cleaning groups organised by the people . Seminars should be held to make people aware of the issue .


Above mentioned are the views of a laymen whose only purpose in writing this letter is to gear the concerned authorities into action. I hope my letter finds some space in the columns of your esteemed newspaper to bring the awareness .
