I visited Agra in recently and stayed there for 2-1/2 days. We had been considering whether or not to visit Agra in the winter because of the famed fog, about which several people had forewarned us. We nevertheless made the decision to gamble. I appreciate everyone who responded to my questions about Agra in the TA Agra forum.On February 23rd, we took a plane from Bangalore to Delhi. We were fortunate to avoid delays caused by fog. After grabbing a quick meal close to the airport, we made our way to Nizamuddin station to catch the Mahakoshal Express, our 4 pm train to Agra. The train was supposed to be really quick and arrive in Agra by 7:20 pm, however it was painfully slow and arrived more than an hour later. We arrived at the Agra Cantonment station.The Taj Mahal Thanks to everything that has been published and stated about the monument, we had such high expectations for it. I was so afraid of being let down that I almost decided against going. Did we enjoy it? It was first great—no, it was really lovely. I wouldn't say that I was let down. But gradually, over the course of the following few days... we kept being drawn back to it. So much so that the Taj Mahal ended up taking centre stage on our journey to Agra. I was in awe of the Taj by the time our time in Agra came to an end! I apologise in advance if my travel report comes out as overly enthusiastic about the Taj, but that is exactly how I felt about it. We were able to take in the other Agra monuments.
