Dear Diary,

Today, I was very proud of myself. I organized a peace march with my classmates in our town.

Lots of people attended the march. Luckily, the weather was very nice. We did not have to walk in the rain.

First, we prepared some banners and placards at school. There was the sign of peace on them. We also drew pigeons and olive branches. All of them symbolize the peace.

Secondly, we prepared posters announcing our event. We hung them at the bus stops, at the bulletin boards of some buildings. We distributed invitations to the public buildings.

And at the end, the big day was today… I was very surprised to see lots of people came and walked with us. Most of them carried the banners like us. They were wearing T-shirts with peace symbols. Our parents, friends and neighbours were there, and even the mayor was there. We walked from the entrance of our town to the next town. At the end of the march, I gave a speech on peace and everyone was smiling at me because they were very impressed.

Finally, I am at home. We were very tired, but we succeeded it.

Love,

xyz

Peace March in Panchsheel Park.

Today, we organised a peace march in our neighbourhood for the ensuing tension between India and Pakistan.

Initially, we were only a handful of 2- to 25 volunteers who had planned the event but very soon, the residents of the area also joined in with us after understanding our concerns.

The complete march was for about a kilometer and since everything was planned in advance, there was no confusion or road block at any place.

The people participating in it were also feeling happy after the march was over and they even enquired about us and what prompted us to take this novel idea forward.

Hence, we all felt very happy about it.
