I’ll use the word speculator from here on out, as that is the one who is usually making the largest returns (as opposed to a regular trader).
A speculator is hoping to get returns that are hundreds of times larger than what they invest.

To the outsider, this makes the speculator look like they are stealing. It also makes the speculator look like they are out of control and have nefarious intentions.
