Sub: Accepting invite to be the Chief Guest of the Centenary Celebrations of the English

Literary Club

Thank you for inviting me to be the Chief Guest for the Centenary Celebrations of the English Literary Club to be held on 10 October 2009. I am honoured to receive such an invitation and would love to be a part of the Celebration.

I am impressed by the efforts put in by your students to conduct workshops, guest lectures in your university. It gives me great pleasure to know about the various activities that have taken place in the ELC of your university. The array of events, including various oratorical and creative-writing competitions, that have been lined up as a part of the Centenary Celebrations seems impressive. In fact, the topic chosen for this year “Nature and Literature” is an interesting one- one that would definitely be a challenge for the students.

Thank you for the kind offer to bear the travel and other expenses incurred, during this trip to St. Anne’s University, in addition to taking care of my stay at the University. I hereby, confirm my participation as the Chief Guest in the Centenary Celebrations. I assure you that I would be present at the campus by 5:00 p.m. on 9 October 2009.

I once again thank you for honouring me by inviting me as the Chief Guest. I pray for the great success of the event and look forward to attend the same.

Thank You

Yours sincerely

English Literary Club

Thank you for inviting me to be the chief guest of the Centenary Celebrations of the English literary Club of St.Anne University to be held on 10 October 2009.

I am honoured to receive such an invitation and would love to be a part of the celebration but for prior commitments.

I am astounded by the commitment and enthusiasm shown by the students in organizing workshops, guest lectures as a part of the ELC activities and would like to appreciate their efforts in person at the event. However, the world tour, promoting my new book ‘The Lost Soul’ that begins on 5 October at London, has unfortunately deprived me this opportunity to interact with the budding writers of today.

Although I deeply regret my inability to attend the Centenary Celebrations, I would definitely like to be a part of some other ELC activity of your university.

Thank you, once again for honouring me with such an invite. I wish the event a grand success.

Thank You

Yours sincerely
