Subject: apology for losing a book
Respected madam,
I am a student of class 12thC of your school. I had issued a book from library last week. It was an encyclopaedia. I am really sorry as I had lost that book. I know that the punishment to the student whosoever loses a library book is that he/she has to pay for that book and they will never be allowed to issue a book from library again. Ma'am I am extremely sorry as I did this mistake for the first time. Please forgive me. You knowthat this year we are having our board exams and it is very important for us to study with as many books as we can. We can't buy so many books. Therefore we take books from library. but if you don't issue library books to me, I will not be able to study much as a result it can affect my board results. Ma'am, I had scored excellent in my 10th board and have topped the school. In class 11th also I did well. I want to continue it in class 12. I hereby request you to please forgive me for my mistake and allow me to issue library books. I will pay for the encyclopaedia lost by me. Please tell me how much I have to pay.
