Dear Father,

I hope you are doing well father. I am doing good over here and settled comfortably in the hostel. I wrote this letter to seek your permission for the trip organized by our school.

As a part of the curriculum, our new cultural teacher has been appointed. Also that the curriculum insists upon the educational excursion. Our school has organized a trip to Rajgir. The expenditure on the trip is rs. 2500 per head and the school is contributing towards the lodging and boarding.  

I want to utilize this great opportunity and require your permission to join the trip and the required amount for the trip. Give regards to mother and grandparents
