My achievement in a Competition

It was a very pleasant and a fresh morning! I was very excited on the day of the competition. Our school was going to held an extempore speech competition. In this competition, the topic is given on the spot at the time of the speech. So people becomes nervous because they have to deliver the speech without any prior preparation.

I got the topic, " Teenage and Addiction".

I was a bit nervous as I had to deliver a speech on this topic without any preparation. I wanted to win the competition. I went in front of the microphone and began delivering the speech. I spoke about drugs addiction and also added about a new type of addiction which is mobile addiction.

I asked everyone during the speech, " How many of you use mobile phones 5 hours each day?" More than 20 students raised up their hands. I told them that according to a report, if a person uses cell phone for more than 5 hours a day, it means that the person is mobile addicted. All the audience were hearing my speech attentively which made me feel more confident.

At last, when I finished delivering the speech, judges gave me a standing ovation. I felt very happy but was nervous for the final result of the competition too.

The students delivered their speeches one by one. And now finally the winner was going to be announced. I was trembling in fear. One of the judge annonunced - "The winner of this competition is................................, And the trophy goes to............ Miss Twinkle.

Oh my goodness I couldn't express my happiness. I won the trophy. The trophy was gold plated crystalline trophy.

It was one of the best moment in my life !!!
