The skeleton system protects internal organs. Fractions of the skeleton surround different organs of the body including our brain, ears, heart, lungs etc visceral organ. Any injury to these organs possesses to be mediated through the skeletal system. It generates blood cells.

  • There are flat bones in the skull containing occipital, parietal, frontal, nasal and vomer, the thoracic cage contains sternum and ribs, and the pelvis contains ilium, ischium, and pubis. The purpose of flat bones is to safeguard internal organs such as the brain, heart, and pelvic organs.
  • A protecting coating of bone named the vertebral column wraps and protects our spinal cord. The bones in the vertebral column are named vertebrae. Our vertebrae stack on top of each other, from our pelvic bones to your skull.
