U should talk to him and advice him first bcoz he’s ur friend and it’s his choice whether he wants to or not and sooner or later the truth will come out so lying at that moment to his mother is just gonna delay the inevitable

I would say my friend to tell the marks that he got in the maths test to his mother because I don't want my friend to get spoiled by hiding the marks from his mother and getting his future worst
