Each city has its own pros and cons.

For Chandigarh, the cons include:

1. Strict rules- Traffic rules are followed and enforced strictly. The traffic police is quick to fine violators for not wearing helmets, stopping beyond the zebra crossing and minute details like these. Also, the common man can click pictures of violators and upload them on the traffic police's page on Facebook or its Twitter handle and the violators are issued violation e-tickets.

2. Too many bureaucrats- Since Chandigarh is the capital of both Haryana and Punjab, there are too many VIPs around. The VIP culture is very strong here, which is not a very positive thing.

3. People might find it too quiet- People coming from crowded metropolitan cities often find Chandigarh too quiet and 'boring'.

The pros are:

1. Top class medical facilities- The city boasts of some of the best government medical facilities in the country. There are government dispensaries in each sector. The hospitals too are both inexpensive and good.

2. Small city with a metropolitan feel- Chandigarh is a small city. One can get from one end of Chandigarh to the other in about half an hour. However, it has all the modern feel and infrastructure of a metropolitan, without the accompanying pollution or population.
