                             SAVE DELHI FROM POLLUTION

One of the many problems faced by the country's capital is "pollution". Although many measures were taken to control pollution levels in Delhi, all are in vain. The biggest contributor to Delhi's pollution is the smoke ejected by the vehicles of the city.  About 5% of pollution comes from the neighbouring states of Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh when the crop residue is burnt. The air quality index also states that the air of Delhi is very dangerous and unsuitable. This pollution also causes astma, lung diseases, etc which are very harmful.

A possible solution to this increasing hazardous situation is to reduce the use of personal transport and make use of public transport like buses, metro, etc. A strict control on the release of industrial effluents into rivers and air. It is seen that during the lockdown days due to covid-19 pandemic, the pollution levels in Delhi has decreased to a considerable level. The government along with people should take measures to control the heavy  pollution of Delhi.
