You might be using tomato sauce in a bottle of squeezy.A bottle of squeezy squeezes when pressed.it regains it's shape when the pressure from your hand is withdrawn.what may happen if the bottle of squeezy is pressed to take the sauce out and then immediately corked tightly? Will it regain it's shape ? If not ,why?

No it won't regain its shape. When we cork it ,air is not able to enter inside it so it wont regain it's shape

Answer:

No, it will not regain its shape as it cannot replace the volume of the material taken out of it when it is corked.

Explanation:

  • While squeezing the bottle of sauce, the volume of the bottle is changed.
  • This is because the material inside the bottle is ejected.
  • When you stop squeezing, the bottle regains its shape because of the change in pressure when the bottle absorbs the air.
  • If the bottle is immediately corked when the sauce is out of the bottle, it is not allowed to refill the empty space with air.
  • As a result, it loses its shape and will not regain it further.
